Do you own any Decentraland VR property yet?

Using $RCN to mortgage $MANA property + Bancor. Nice!

Can someone please pump $MANA for me? Thanks ;)

Adding more $MANA , gotta get that LAND...

Although if you got in at the auction, wow, your property value has went waaay up already.

Wrote an article on Decentraland's virtual real estate marketplace which can be found below. It breaks down the raw data from the parcel sales in their virtual marketplace, giving insights into how the market is developing - $MANA is the native Decentraland currency:

#VirtualReality $ETH $WAX $ENG $GAME $MGO #RealEstate

If you want to check out Decentraland's #Virtual land sales, here's an update I did at the beginning of the month. I'm writing another piece right now on the data so far in April for their $MANA / LAND marketplace:

What can I do with my virtual plot of land?

@Perciiiii - right now you can just do some basic designing of what you'd place on your land as the Decentraland virtual world has not yet launched.
Their goal is to essentially get DEcentraland up and running and then flip their servers off, take a step back, and let it run on the $ETH blockchain.

This would create a truly decentralized and immutable Metaverse not owned by anybody in particular, but by the collective Decentraland users/community.

The best example of a virtual world in the past is Second Life. The highest legit statistic I could find as that their virtual economy was worth $600M , I think in 2012, and their users cashed out $55M in real money that year.

Decentraland is aiming to create that, except without a company at the center of the virtual world. :)
Once the world is up, I believe you will be able to do almost anything with your virtual land as far as building stuff on it.

@ferryman - very cool! I'm happy you had a chance to give it a look :)

Decentraland $MANA is truly one of the most interesting emerging blockchain projects of our time as they are entering #VirtualReality at the perfect time.

Keep in mind that MANA will be minted at a rate of about 8% a year - so this is a market you probably want to DCA your way into or not grabbing it all at once.

The virtual world isn't up quite yet and it will be sometime before an average person can run onto the platform and run a muck, but they are moving quicker and quicker it seems so definitely one to follow along!

I'll be covering the project in @nonfungible's blog - you can also find historical pricing at if you ever want to take a look :)
The site is VERY raw right now, but will be growing and aiming to be a CoinMarketCap of NFT projects.

Transferred the article I wrote on @decentraland $MANA and land marketplace onto @Investfeed! Here ya go:

is virtual land curved like a globe earth model, or is it flat like a flat earth model?

@rfiser I'm actually not quite sure about that one. I'm assuming it will be flat in terms of the vision looking across @decentraland, but I'm not 100% sure about that one - from a macro-view.

Why do you ask? What are you thinking?

it was just funny to me. I just finished listening to a guy who said NASA has been caught with water bubbles in their official space footage. indicating the entire scene was shot under water and not in space. This was on a flat earth video and then I saw your virtual land article and just could not resist to make a joke. Just trying to be funny.

@rfiser hahaha that is funny! Our intentions do not always translate well through text so I wanted to tread carefully - I thought you were making a joke :)
